About Us

SevernSounds Festival is a community festival, based in Worcestershire, started in 2013 by friends Ben Russell and Scott Howland, looking to bring a platform for local acts to perform to large audiences, whilst supporting local charities.

As the years have gone by, we have grown substantially with support form local businesses providing sponsorship to allow us to keep the entry costs to a minimum to bring Worcester its very own family festival for all.

Over the years, we have supported charities such as Acorns Childrens Hospice, Herefordshire SHYPP, St Richards Hospice and New Hope Worcester. We continue to support New Hope Worcester as our main charity for 2017. Overall, we have raised over £6000 for charity.

As the festival has grown, a committee of volunteers has been formed to share the workload. We are all very passionate about bringing this type of event to Worcester to cater for all ages, families and budgets.

The festival has expanded into a multi platform arts festival, aimed at giving younger bands and artists the platform to perform, with free activities and projects to get involved with to engage the whole community.
